The Analysis Of The Online Physical Education Learning During The Pandemic In The Outmost Area

This study aims to identify how the online physical education learning process is during the pandemic. The design used is causal comparative (ex-post facto). The aim is to see how the learning activities and what media are used by Physical Education teachers. The instrument used was an online questionnaire with several questions, starting from the identity of the teacher, the media used, the obstacles experienced by teachers in online learning and the teacher's perceptions of online learning today. The sample used was elementary to high school physical education teachers. The results showed that the use of learning application media was obtained for elementary school physical education teachers who preferred more to use social media WhatsApp for teachers aged <40 years = 49%, junior high school teachers aged 24-40 years = 35.54% preferred more to use google classroom, while high school teachers who were dominated by teachers aged 24-40 years = 34% using 3 learning application media with a small difference, namely, google classroom, Whatsapp and manual. The dominant use of applications in each educational unit cannot be denied, apart from the age factor, other things, namely, the geographical location factor and the ability of the human resources of the physical education teachers themselves.

This study examines the significance and challenges among the physical education students towards digital and distance learning. An online survey technique was adopted to conduct this study in Aligarh district schools with a number of 464 participants. The age group ranged from 15 to 19 years for all participants. All the students who participated in this survey were currently attending online classes during the COVID-19 outbreak. Semi-structured online questionnaires developed with Google Forms. A self-developed questionnaire was used to collect data. Questions are based on a five-point Likert scale from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree. The survey was circulated on the social media platform among students. Students give their consent and provide appropriate answer to each question. The average time taken by a student was 4-5 minutes to complete the survey. The results demonstrate that the physical education students are not voluntarily accepting online classes during the lockdown period, student are attending online classes the first time in their lives, many students have not been able to afford online classes, students have experienced stress due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and they feel so online learning is an added burden on them, the institution does not provide any technical training for student to become familiar with the online classes, and the students were not completely satisfied with the quality of these online learning classes. There is a need for teacher and school management to take measures to avoid student inconveniences in organizing digital and distance teaching and learning seamlessly.

The objectives of this study are as follows: to examine the problems of implementing Physical Education online learning, (a) obstacles to implementing Physical Education online learning, (b), the advantages of implementing Physical Education online learning and (c) best practice implementing Physical Education online learning. This research design uses descriptive research. The subjects in this study amounted to 118 Physical Education teachers throughout Indonesia. The quantitative data collection technique used a questionnaire instrument in the form of a questionnaire in the form of a google form which was distributed and qualitative data obtained from answers to open-ended questions. To analyze the quantitative data used descriptive statistics, namely the analysis of percentages and averages. Meanwhile, qualitative data uses data reduction. The results of this study are finding new problems in Physical Education learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic, including the Physical Education learning process cannot run well, especially on practical materials other than factors from the lack of available networks and inadequate learning media, as well as the lack of physical education teachers' knowledge in Information Technology (IT) Many physical education teachers in implementing the emergency learning curriculum experience problems. The start of the Novel Corona Virus in 2019 has been the root cause of the severe disruption of economic opportunities and educational curriculum implementation affecting people's daily living across the world. In the field of education, the pandemic has brought changes to the educational system. A shift in the mode of learning has shifted from face-to-face to online and modular learning, wherein the former has been utilized more. This basic qualitative study was conducted to explore the experiences of students along with their recommendations to further improve the delivery of online physical education. The current COVID-19 pandemic becomes a problem for education, especially in the physical education learning process at the university level. The aim of this study is explore students' perceptions of online learning and preferred platforms in physical education classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method in this research was a qualitative exploratory study by interview. There were as many as 60 students became the sample from Suryakancana and Halu Oleo University. Data collection is done by interviews to find out student perceptions about the online learning and preferred platforms in physical education classes. The results of this study showed the different perceptions of students regarding online learning and platform favored in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, from those who consider online learning to be very helpful and some are highlighting the obstacles faced when implementing online learning. Overall, students' perceptions consider online learning very important in the current era of COVID-19, and the majority of the platforms that students like the most are Zoom Meetings. The contribution of this research can provide information to teachers and lecturers about online learning and platforms that can be used in physical education classes, so that later learning outcomes from students can be achieved more optimally.

Considering the possibilities and limitations of distance education, it is important to create distance education systems that can benefit the physical education lessons at the highest level and to transform it into more qualified ones. Therefore, the aim of this study is to understand the distance education problems in the teaching of the physical education lesson and the participation and orientation of the secondary school students, to investigate the developments related to the physical education lesson and to make a situation assessment. The participants of the study are secondary school students (n = 403) who were educated in Private Schools that provide synchronous education in pandemic process and have "morning sports" or "physical education lessons" in their curriculum. As a data collection tool, a closed-ended questionnaire consisting of 15 questions was used. It was determined that there is a statistically significant difference between students' level of participation in sports lessons and all other variables (p < 0.001). As a result, it was seen that families and students did not have the habit of doing sports at the desired level in normal time. It suggests that there are some problems in the processing and application of this course. While the lesson is expected to become much more important, especially in this dormant and inactive period, it is not an expected situation to receive this level of interest.

It is an indisputable fact that the Covid 19 pandemic at the beginning of 2020 negatively impacted the life and health of people and changed the social, public, and economic situation around the world. The education system was also strongly affected and suffered a great number of changes. The measures taken for social isolation lead to a general reorganization of the education process. The lessons in physical education and sport - a compulsory subject of students’ general education also had to be transformed in the emergency situation. The direct form of interaction between the teacher and the students during in-person lessons (the traditional style) had to be reorganized in an online form. Introduction This quantitative study aimed to determine physical education teachers’ (PETs) perceptions of online physical education (OLPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey. Methods An OLPE teaching survey during the COVID-19 was used, comprising PETs’ opinions on OLPE teaching as well as the advantages, disadvantages, difficulties, and suggestions for OLPE teaching. Results A significant difference by gender was identified in the individual approach to student learning, greater student independence, and ongoing monitoring of student results for teachers, parents, and students. In addition, a significant difference was found by gender in the difficulty in implementing the core curriculum content as well as by school type in the lack of proper home equipment, absence of or limited Internet access, and problems with connecting the computer, tablet, or smartphone to the Internet.
