The aimed of current research to formulate herbal toothpaste utilizing plant extract like Neem leaves, Guava leaves, Cinnamon bark other ingredient are Camphor, Honey. The plant extract ingredient posses the anti-bacterial. The herbal toothpaste formulated which can satisfy all the required condition to keep the mouth fresh and prevent tooth decay by bacteria. The formulated herbal toothpaste compared with marketed preparation. Physical examination: Colour-greenish brown, smooth in nature, relative density-10.2, pH-8.2, Extrudabil-ity-90.37, spredability-Good and stable formulation. The anti-microbial evaluation against Staphylococcus aureus reveal that formulated herbal tooth paste exhibited notable activity with ZOI of 19.7 mm at MIC of 25μg/mL. the outcome of this research herbal toothpaste shows equal patronizing and engrossing passion over the marketed preparation it was consider after the comparing the marketed preparation(Colgate, Dabour Red, Dant-kanti) with formulated herbal toothpaste. It has been good scope in future dental research and det-al health of public.

Background: Toothpaste, available in gel or paste form, maintains oral hygiene through brushing. This research aims to develop herbal toothpaste formulations, avoiding potential side effects of chemical compounds found in conventional products. Aim and Objective: This study assesses herbal toothpaste formulations for effective dental hygiene, specifically investigating natural ingredients like neem leaves, babul leaves, akkarkara leaves, guava leaves, jamun seeds, vidanga, Vajradanti, and clove fruit, traditionally used for dental care. Methods: We assessed sensory and physical characteristics of the newly formulated herbal toothpaste, following Bureau of Indian Standards criteria. Comparative analysis showed laboratory-developed toothpaste performing similarly to Dantkranti, Babool, and Colgate toothpaste brands. Results: The laboratory-created herbal toothpaste matched the essential toothpaste properties of three popular brands. Conclusion: This preliminary in vitro study suggests herbal toothpaste's potential as an effective and safe alternative for oral hygiene. Further research and clinical studies are needed to validate these findings and explore their dental care applications. Neem, "the bitter gem" is one of the most valued trees with many medicinal applications. The scientific name of neem is Azadirachta indica and belongs to Meliaceae family. It is the world's most studied tree in the world and most promising one in the 21st century. Every part of the tree has medicinal value, such as flowers, leaves, neem cake, fruits and seed oil. Almost 300 different phytochemicals have been found in neem tree with versatile application. The aqueous and alcoholic leaf extract of neem is accounted for to have different pharmacological activities. In current situations oral dental care with use of herbal toothpaste containing natural ingredients are more acceptable in public belief than chemical based synthetic formulations due to their safety and efficacy in reducing dental caries, and preventing other dental issues to which this generation is prone to. In this formulation we utilizes clove oil, neem extract, peppermint oil, which are used in this research work. These extracts possess many activities like anti-ulcer, anti-caries, anti-bacterial, wound healing along with which it certain special additional properties like anti-fungal and anti-microbial. Important physical parameters i.e. pH, stability, spreadability, foamability, to make a successful more efficacious and stable formulation. Streptococcus mutans is the most common cause of tooth decay. Parabens and other commonly used as anti-Streptococcus agents in toothpaste industry have numerous side effects such as discoloration of teeth. The herbal extract of all three plants gives antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity and prevent and reducing the tooth decay, dental caries and given to freshness of mouth. A recent shift of preference towards Ayurvedic ingredients is visible in oral process increasing the demand for commercially available oral care products containing natural ingredients. Several synthetic drugs have been evaluated over the years for their antimicrobial effect in oral cavity; however, all are associated with numerous side effects that prohibit their regular long-term use. Natural remedies are more acceptable in the belief that they are safer with fewer side effects than the synthetic ones. Therefore, the objective of the current research was to formulate, characterize and evaluate a gelbased dental which is more stable in terms of rheological behavior, long term protection and stability in diverse conditions with minimum adverse effects. The aim of this work is to formulate and evaluate an Ayurvedic tooth gel by using natural ingredients such as cow dung ash, turmeric, clove oil, honey, charcoal, linseed and eucalyptus oil. These ingredients are available in market in wide range. Hence modern methods focusing on these aspects are useful for the standardization of herbs and their formulations. Consumers believed by using Ayurvedic based tooth gel are safe, effective and less toxic.

Toothpaste is an agent used as an effective home care system. It is a paste or gel dentifrice used with a toothbrush as an accessory to clean and maintain the aesthetics and health of teeth by the patients to enhance oral hygiene. What many people don't know is that most brand-name toothpaste contains a number of ingredients that are not healthy. Herbal toothpaste does not contain the artificial colors, flavours or fluoride that many of the artificial products do contain. For the present study the extracts of apple peel, lemon peel, orange peel, banana peel, clove oil were used to formulate a polyherbal toothpaste and studied by phytochemical tests and spectral analysis using UV/VIS, IR spectroscopy. These studies have revealed the presence of vital constituents which shall be responsible for anti-microbial activity and useful in tooth decay problems.
