�Afterburn� is the third film from director J.J. Perry, who tried to make his mark with adrenalized endeavors such as �Day Shift� and �The Killer�s Game,� offering mid-budget spectacle. The features weren�t finely crafted, and the case of �The Killer�s Game,� were almost completely ignored by audiences, but Perry remains employed, reteaming with star Dave Bautista for a post-apocalyptic adventure story that can�t exactly afford to really show off a devastated Earth.
