�Becoming Astrid� is a bio-pic about author Astrid Lindgren, who became a worldwide literary obsession with her work on �The Adventures of Pippi Longstocking.� It�s a Swedish production from co-writer/director Pernille Fischer Christensen, and a production that�s very protective of Lindgren�s personal life, making sure to downplay any bright kid-lit spirit to focus on the horrible times she endured while trying to survive her twenties, facing numerous trials of the heart and mind.
