While attempting to save their malt shop hangout, the Bowery Boys get involved in a bank robbery. Realizing that their photographer friend Cathy Smith may have captured the robbers on film, the boys get caught breaking into her darkroom, and Sach accidentally becomes implicated in the bank heist. While Sach hides out, Slip Mahoney and the rest of the gang try to track down mobster Ace Deuce, the robbery's real mastermind.
