Josh Townsend moves to a new town in New Mexico and takes a job volunteering on a buffalo preserve so he can ride his mountain bike whenever he wants. While on the preserve, he butts heads with Thomas Blackhorse, a local boy who rejects the customs of his Navajo tribe. But when Josh gets involved with a group of troublemakers, they break the rules of the buffalo preserve and desecrate sacred Navajo land. To make things worse, they accidentally start a buffalo stampede towards town! Now Thomas and Josh must overcome their differences and work together to save the buffalo and their town.
