Director Scott Derrickson made a name for himself with 2005�s �The Exorcism of Emily Rose,� a thoroughly underwhelming demonic possession story that lit up the box office due to impressive marketing efforts. After stints with more horror (�Sinister�) and sci-fi (�The Day the Earth Stood Still�), the helmer returns to his first love with �Deliver Us from Evil,� another exorcism tale mixed with a dash of police procedural.
