Pu, a misfit young woman has dreamt of her dead mother building a house. A fortune-teller tells her that if the dream goes on, her father will die when the house is completed. Her father, a karaoke regular playboy, meets a woman of his fantasy, Yok, a high class lady of the night who belongs to a young Chinese mafia.
