As Marvel (and its various corporate partners, including new parent company Disney) establishes cinematic dominance with the seemingly never-ending cavalcade of superheroes (some decidedly more B-list than others), it's surprising that it's taken Warner Bros so long to mine the DC Comics back catalogue, especially when they've been part of the same conglomerate for years.
