Julia Davis proved that she's an expert when it comes to dark, dark comedy with the terrific Nighty Night. With Hunderby, a show that she writes and stars in once more, she proves again that she's not lost that knack. This time, the setting is the 1830s, with Alexandra Roach playing a shipwreck survivor who ends up married to the local pastor. Then in comes Davis herself, the far from pleasant housekeeper, and the tone is soon set for a deliciously uncomfortable comedy.
