After a heated argument, college student Yan jumps on a minibus and her boyfriend Dong follows recklessly on his motorcycle. Riding on the wrong side of the road, Dong knocks repeatedly against the side of the bus, demanding an answer from Yan - an answer he never gets. Years later, Yan is still struggling to get over Dong's fatal accident, reliant on anti-depressants and sleeping pills to get through every night. When Yan stops her medication at the advice of her doctor, Dong suddenly appears before her again, asking the same fateful question from years before.
