In this poignant comedy about making it in American, Sofia (Angie Cepeda) is a Colombian immigrant with big dreams, a big heart, and big problems following her divorce from a vengeful husband. Without any money and faced with the prospect of returning to Colombia, she agrees to rent her body and soul by becoming a surrogate mother to a wealthy and eccentric couple (Jim Piddock and Nora Dunn). What she didn't count on was losing her head over an adorable child and meeting a handsome young doctor who just might steal her heart.
