Spring, 1999. On a railroad bridge overlooking an idyllic riverbank, Yong-ho faces an oncoming train. Distraught and beyond reason, he shouts "I'm going back!", right before the train takes his life.
The film tracks, in reverse, the life path of how Yong-ho goes from youthful innocence with beauty and love to being a nasty, cruel and hateful man.
