When the family car is in an accident, the only passenger not hurt is Poco � but the confused little dog runs off into the California desert. As he recovers from a broken leg, twelve year old Kim mourns for her pup. Little Poco�s adventures take him through scenic Yosemite National Park, where he encounters a variety of friends, enemies, and lovable animals on his perilous journey home.
