Tamara Jenkins is a filmmaker, but she doesn�t work with any sort of regularity. I�m sure there�s a story there that either details industry ugliness or personal detachment, but when she finally does manage to put a project together, it�s usually quality work. In the last two decades, she�s made three movies, including 1998�s �The Slums of Beverly Hills� and 2007�s �Savages,� and now she returns with �Private Life,� providing another reminder that she�s a thoughtful helmer who should really be out there more often.
