A man of few words and reactions, Kenji moonlights as the driver for a human trafficking ring. He forms an odd family of sorts with an orphaned Chinese boy he took in and Yuri, the mentally troubled sister of his late gangster friend. One day, Kenji encounters his mother, Chiyoko, who abandoned him as a child. Now married to a good-natured trucking company owner, Chiyoko cheerily welcomes Kenji and his hanger-ons into her life as if nothing ever happened.
