She is an actress and singer, known for Thank God It's Friday (1978), The Georgia Peaches (1980) and Better Off Dead... (1985). She is also the lead vocalist for the 80's New Wave group "Berlin" 1979, 1981-87, 1998-presen. Her song "Take My Breath Away" won the 1986 Oscar for Best Music/Original Song (Top Gun) as well as the 1987 Golden Globe for Best Original Song (Top Gun). She has been married to Paul Spear since May 17, 1998.
