A send-up of the stereotypical Japanese family. Mr. Numata is the patriarch salaryman unable to relate to his family; Mrs. Numata is stuck in a thankless family; Shinichi the older son is a moderate academic success; but Shigeyuki, the younger son is a rebellious goof-off for whom a tutor must be hired. The tutor proceeds to blow the entire family apart.
