Steve Forrest (The Baron) is the gunfighter James Devlin in this tale of the redemption and honor set in the Wild West of the 1800s. Sentenced to die by hanging for killing a man, Devlin survives the noose, and discovers he has gained the uncanny ability to read others' minds. His discovery leads him to renounce the way of the gun and his own lawlessness. When he meets a young widow (Sharon Acker) in danger of losing her ranch to a ruthless land baron, Devlin uses his eerie power to come to her defense. Also starring Dean Jagger, Will Geer, Barbara Luna and Cameron Mitchell.
