�The Pale Blue Eye� continues writer/director Scott Cooper�s interest in grim tales concerning mysterious monsters of the night. He went genre with 2021�s �Antlers,� and the creative experience must�ve been rewarding, with the helmer back to strange events with his latest endeavor, which is an adaptation of a 2003 Louis Bayard novel. The feature offers a murder mystery to help bring viewers to the story, examining the silent alarm triggered at a military school when one cadet is found murdered in a most gruesome fashion, but there�s more of a character study presented here, with Cooper trackin ...read more...
