Cinematic puzzles. Disorientation. Madness. For director Lorcan Finnegan, time playing with the mushiness of the mind is time well spent, previously delving into the bewildering nightmare realms of �Vivarium� and �Nocebo.� He�s a visual filmmaker, embracing the elasticity of reality in his endeavors, and he�s not about to give up on his obsession, as his latest, �The Surfer,� is similar in confusion and claustrophobia as his last two features, only now he has the mighty thespian power of Nicolas Cage on his side.
