Coals from a German company have been produced since
2012 — by this time Polish Carbopol (which is also represented in our
e-shop) has already become a strong leader on the quicklight coals
market. However due to their innovative approach to the form and
production Forty-Four brand quickly became a matter of interest both
of shisha fans and big restaurants' management. We must admit that
these coals have at once become our favourite ones, too. We happily
use them at our open-air events and picnics.
The product is made of only wood charcoal and solidified alcohol. Lack
of nitre covering (that is normally present on quicklight coals) saves
lightened coals from an unpleasant smell. On the contrary, iSmoke's
friends believe it reminds the smell of campfire or sauna. As a shape
there has been chosen a doughnut and this shape together with its
diameter will provide ideal heat exchange inside the bowl. These coals
burn with stable and persistent heat with the temperature inside the
coal up to 600ºC and the surface temperature around 300 ºC. All this
provides ideal conditions for the shisha tobacco as it is heated
quickly but does not burn even after a couple of hours of smoking.
As the producers themselves say, the hole in the centre is responsible
for providing even heat which is because of a draught due to
Archimedes' principle. Indeed, months of coals' testing by our
specialists showed that among all the quicklight shisha coals
Fourty-Four coals provides the slowest tobacco burning and has
absolutely no interfierence with the tobacco flavour, which is quite a
rare quality for quick shisha coals.
Advantages
- unusual and handy shape
- dense and hard coal mass, no crumbling
- quick and easy lightening without using a stove
- no interference with the tobacco flavor
- record long smoking session's time
Disadvantages
- despite the lack of an unpleasant smell during lightening, it is
advised to lighten them outside or in a well-ventilated room, as the
strong coal smoke may be lacrimatory.
- nowadays for frequent hookah sessions there are classical coconut
coals that have always been and remain a standard as those that are
less harmful for your health
