Taken in the Appalachian Mountains, Allegheny National Forest, Kinzua State Park, Pennsylvania, USA.
I woke up very early in the morning to get this picture~

Here are my answers to the questions in the photography contest journal:

1. I would love to photograph the islands part of the Faroe Islands. Just such an amazing landscape with almost no structures on them. So. much. mist!
2. Forests. I see their beauty and revel in it but have always struggled to capture what I see in the lense. I want to see the freshness and vibrancy of life. Not just a plain old picture. In order to do this, I hike out early in the morning when the sunshine and mist color the land and help these details pop.
3. Both for sure. I like finding old postcards or paintings that I love and going to search out the location and photograph them to pair with the object I have. My current project is to retrace one of my ancestor's footsteps and photograph the locations he painted all over the world. I'm heading to Ireland next month to do this.
