Hi, Inkscape 1.4 gets closer : Beta 2 is on !

Hope this is getting somewhere. Beta 1 was a mess. Went back to 0.48 and the whole progress in reliability and results is a clear regression. Glad you have the patience to carry on the torch.

Beta are often unstable for sure. I noticed the upgrade to GTK3 in 1.x series has affected Inkscape overall stability. But things get gradually better. However, I don't know to what extent the forthcoming changeover to GTK4 will affect it.

There are many many issues with the new renderer and the overall gui at least was sleek and consistent in 0.48. The developers sacrificed stability, performance for fancy new features. At least that's how it seems to me. It's just baffing when you run into issues where there wasn't one previously. Afaik we are still at switching to gtk 3.0? I can be wrong though. Either way, that shouldn't affect performance any bit.
