HI SQUAD! As you might have noticed (or not yet?), my profile here on DeviantArt has become a little.. well.. empty recently. Reason for that is that I'm finally saying "It's enough." to DA's behavior over the last couple of years and their still ongoing tendency towards making this whole website an AI marketplace and money-machine. Is their whole year-long userbase annoyed? Yes. Do they care? HA!! No. Do they even respond to ANY criticism? No. Even META with their own shady strategies is more transparent about it than DeviantArt - and that says something. Well anyway, as much as I liked being here having fun and as much as I appreciate all my watchers (thank you for sticking around), it's time to say "F*** Y** DeviantArt you filthy piece of SH*T!". 😂 NO but seriously.. it's about time. I won't leave tomorrow, but I will leave in the next couple of months! 👈 So that's why I linked my other most used socials on my front page. Yup last week I was recommended Cara and yup since then I started using it, so far no regrets. Cara App is a social network from artists for artists and with a stance against ai! It's accessable on mobile and in browser. (also a nice new alternative to DeviantArt btw *wink wink*) And now that META (aka Facebook, Instagram, etc.) decided to annoy and push everyone away with their new AI stuff, a lot - and I mean A LOT - of artists are currently flooding Cara in hope to find a new safe space to show their art and connect. Due to this rise in users Cara is currently running a little slow, but its creators are very transparent about it (both of my thumbs up for that) and they're working on improving it for a now suddenly growing userbase.
