My Bio
- Full name: (Undisclosed – Sorry people, but privacy matters)
- Nickname: "Sky Command"
(Dictionary definition of "command": a position of authority over a specific area, region, organization, or group of people, e.g., Sweden's Air Component Command.) - Occupation: Freelance developer. Former chief information officer (CIO); lost that job when COVID-19 killed my CEO and most of the board of directors.
- Why did I come to DeviantArt: To communicate with my favorite artist. (Didn't happen, though.)
I always find new deviants. Compared to five years ago, however, I treat my findings differently. Five years ago, I browsed their galleries and, pleased with their work, added them to my watch list. On rare occasions, I navigated away, deciding that these deviants were art thieves instead of artists. As much as I wanted, I couldn't even report them. Overall, we had two types of deviants: artists (majority) and art thieves (minority). Today, I browse their gallery and, upon seeing the sheer number of high-quality works created in just two days, I navigate away, deciding that the whole gallery is not their work, but rather it is "worthless AI output." Today, we have a third type of deviant: an AI operator. They are not artists because they have little control over what their AIs create for them. I always stumble upon lovely artworks and enjoy watching them. Compared to five years ago, however, my reaction is different. Five years ago, I often refreshed my wallpaper and lock screen
Today, I had a yearning to see snapdragons. Let's not focus on why. I tried searching DeviantArt, but there were no snapdragons to be found. In addition, most Deviants seem to be operating under the impression that snapdragon is a dragon! Fortunately, Bing found me some snapdragons. Google tried to keep its mind more open. Notice: For copyright reasons, I've reduced the size and the color depth of these images.
The "Deviants You Watch" page is a poor replacement for "Watch List"
