Zane had recently learned to ride and the stable had acquired two more yearlings when Stacy and the others came back from their racing tour where they brought home all first places. Now Zane, Lady and Stacy were flying from California to the United Kingdom where Zane and Lady would be competing at Crufts in Flyball and Agility. They had arrived to the United Kingdom almost a week before the event, wanting to take some time to look around and do a little shopping. Stacy had also wanted to get a look at the racers over on this side of the world and perhaps purchase a horse or few if she found any to her liking.

Zane and Lady were apart of a team iconically named The Airbuds, even though there were no Golden Retrievers on the team, it was still a name that Zane was enjoyed to have as the team name. Since arriving early for the event, Zane was able to meet up with their team members before the event and get to know them and their dogs a little better, as well as introduce Lady to everyone. In the days before the event, Zane and Lady had a lot of fun with their team members.

Finally the day of the Flyball event came and Zane was excited, they were up early that morning getting ready for the day, sporting a lovely hint of makeup. Zane made sure to dress in some fairly nice show pants and shoes, nothing too extravagant though since it was only Flyball where the dog would be judged and not an event such as Conformation or Showmanship, while sporting the team shirt. Zane groomed Lady and slipped a blue collar around her neck before wrapping her legs in blue as well.

At the event, Zane and Lady waited patiently for their turn, they were fourth in the team, Lady would be the last dog to run. Finally when it came time for the team to compete, Zane was a little nervous, hoping that Lady would do well in her first Flyball event. First up was Riley, a Native American Cattle Dog male, after him went a Long-haired Whippet male named Oakley and then another Native American Cattle Dog male named Oso. As Oso was coming back Lady leaped forward, beginning her round, speeding forward and bounding over the jumps to reach the green ball before spinning around and returning.
