LiteratureSecond Hand Family .1Rain poured down from dark clouds that gave great cracks and low rumbles, the air cold and sharp as it blew. Speeding down the slick road a beaten up red car slid to a stop as the breaks were pushed far to the floor. The passenger side door quickly swung open, a dark figure stepped out holding a box. Thunder cracked, illuminating the surroundings. An old dumpster in a long abandoned park laying crookedly on its side. The man brinkley walked to the dumpster and dropped the box just outside, kicking it in somewhat. Another crack of light and the man was back in the car speeding away off in the same way that they had come. Cade sat inside the dumpster lying on his side badly beaten, he'd been tied up and left to die by some cruel teenagers who’d unfortunately found him earlier. He managed to wiggle himself out of the ropes thanks to the slickness of the rain. When Cade had heard footsteps approaching he closed his eyes, praying that it weren't the boys coming back for him. Cruel teens???

LiteratureBorrowed Time - 1 The thunderous echoes of rain pouring down outside the subway faded away as I descended a dizzyingly long flight of stairs. My focus was on the thin, yellow strips at the end of each step to avoid tripping over my own feet. Eventually, I made it down into the mezzanine, taking a glance at the new environment. A glass skylight did little to soothe my nerves with its pitiful, fading sunset rays shedding orange light on the concrete. Few people mingled around the anxious space, keeping quiet so as not to draw attention to themselves. Only the sound of rain on the roof broke an otherwise unbearable silence, with the exception of an occasional murmur or cough. As I passed a set of vending machines, an elderly looking man retrieving a small pack of cookies solicited a small sneeze. “Bless you,” I nodded my head to him as I passed by. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed this man had no mask on. A rare sight to behold, for sure, but I sort of envied him. Such a man must have either beenof the greatest fearplay

LiteratureSunriseThe tavern was quiet, filled only with a few of the regular drunkards and a bard who played some vaguely nostalgic notes as Austin sauntered in. The keeper gave him a nod while cleaning the counter. “Is there anymore of that beef stew that Molly cooked up?” He asked, receiving another nod while the bar tender left and disappeared into the back. Austin drummed his fingers along the counter, stopping once a bowl was slid over. He breathed in the warm aroma, releasing a satisfied hum. “Thanks.” Picking up the bowl, he walked out of the tavern, being greeted by a slight ocean breeze. The sky was a mixture of red and orange, forming almost a golden color as the sun slowly began to rise from the blue expanse just off of port. He turned from the tavern door and began walking down the wooden pathway where a few small sailboats were docked. Austin made it to the edge of the port and sat down, with his legs dangling over the ocean. The bowl was set down on his lap while he took out a lookingrereads

LiteratureDeadlineCiel stood in front of the door with a smirk that outlined his intentions, one that usually preceded trouble. He was debating how to handle this, or more specifically, how much fun he could have with it. Given the man he was about to talk to was just a simple suburban father that was all bark and no bite at work, he knew he didn’t really need to exert himself. The knock was deceptively friendly. Tap tap tap tap tap… Tap tap. The human waited patiently, being greeted by a suited man with glasses. The guy initially had a friendly smile which quickly wavered into complete abject fear. Ciel soaked it in. It never got old. “Heeeyyyyy Hal, how’s it goin?” He shoved his foot into the door frame and leaned against it, ensuring their meeting wouldn’t end abruptly. Judging by the analytical expression on Hal’s face, Ciel reckoned he was thinking about shoving him out of the way and slamming the door. It wouldn’t work, the law to him was this imaginary concept that others for some reasonAww....

LiteratureDon't askThe portal opened up in front of him illuminating a greenish light around him. A triumphant smirk spread across his dirt-raked face "well this might work after all." He stepped through the swirling kaleidoscope of greens his stomach churned as he was torn bit by bit into thousand different pieces and regenerated himself on the other side. "Finally-" he stood stunned, nothing looked like it used to, in fact it looked like a whole different planet... Ezra looked around the world with a devious smirk, his tail flicking triumphantly until his piercing green eyes landed on that of a blonde haired human, looking up at him with his own smirk. "Well well well, seems I have a welcoming party," Ezra joked as he knelt down, his giant frame casting the human in shadow although it seemed as though the human was unaffected by the act. "You could say that," The human chided, while casually strolling over to a cup of whiskey and lifted it to his lips to take a swig of the drink. The demon watchedcontests I finished

Literature24. ShowThe front of the Woodhall mansion was bustling with activity as guests arrived to park their cars and attend the show that was being held there. Though a particular pair that had just arrived came with a very different intent, one that wouldn’t exactly sit well with the owners. As Lawrence pulled up to the valet, he greeted them with a practiced fake smile before handing his car over to them. He made his way up to the stairs, and when Lawrence was confident no one was watching, he ducked to the side, crouching in a dark concealed area. From his suit pocket he pinched the tiny form situated inside and brought her to his awaiting palm. A borrower clad in dark clothes, grapple hook in hand, and utility bag at the ready stood in his palm. Standing at only four inches tall one would be deceived into thinking that she was just a pocket doll. But make no mistake… This was the best partner in crime any thief could ever ask for. “Ready dear?” Lawrence asked with a cocky grin on his face.Na No Wry Mo GT Prompted stories

LiteratureAvian Duality TeaserA knock that bordered on shattering her door forced Calis’s eyes open, her heart thundering at the possibility of a break in. She slowly sat up and tore off the blanket to consider the options for fending off whoever was at her door. A lamp, damp umbrella, and potted plant were the last things she’d use, but nonetheless, she took the umbrella upon standing up and walking over to the door. At least the end was sharp. Calis’s steps were light and hands uneasy. Though this all melted at a familiar voice. “M-Mom…?” The umbrella dropped with a thud as she raced towards the door. “Charlie?” It was practically torn open as she stepped outside, however Calis took a step back. ‘Charlie’, her son who was supposed to be in college, stood about a head taller and his clothes were tattered. His blond hair was a ruffled mess and his body racked with uneasy breaths. She stood there frozen, they’d only met up a week ago for coffee and casual conversation, and he was her height at that point. CharlieGT rereads
