And hopefully I'll be back on my feet soon. :) It's been two weeks since my last appointment, so I'm allowed to start putting weight on my foot now. I actually walked across a room a couple times last night without crutches or the scooter. I did it without the boot at one point too, but that probably wasn't the best idea. Don't want to push it too soon. My foot's sore today, probably from the walking. But it's progress! :squee: On a different note, someone saw the cloak I made for my baby niece and now she's commissioning me to make one for her granddaughter who is about the same age as my niece. I sorted out details and pricing with her and

We got Caladin home from the NICU on Sunday with no feeding or oxygen tubes needed! It's been a long week of adjusting to life with a newborn. The first night was pretty rough because he was fussy, and I only got about an hour of sleep, but I was able to get some napping in throughout the day thanks to my mom coming to help. She came to help during the first few days. The next two nights he slept really well during the night and only woke up for feedings. I spent a lot of time sleeping on the couch so I could let my husband sleep, since he still had work. Once he had time off, we switched to taking turns getting up, though I still have to get up to pump at least once in the middle of the night. The last couple days he's been really gassy and fussy, and sounded like he was in pain. Poor baby was crying a lot and was barely sleeping. So we did some research and tested out

I didn't plan to spend the week at the hospital. Baby just decided he wanted to come 5 weeks early and made it my problem. XD So story time. Tuesday morning about 4am I woke up to my water breaking. At first I wasn't sure that's what it was, but about 5:30am I started having regular contractions. I told my husband and we packed up to go. Luckily I had already started collecting stuff for a hospital bag, so I at least had a few things already. We got to the hospital about 7am and got checked in, and they confirmed my water had broken. After getting to the delivery room they started me on an IV with antibiotics and some Pitocin to regulate the contractions. It also made them stronger and more painful, so it wasn't too much later that I got an epidural. The next several hours were spent trying to rest and relax as much as possible before delivery. Caladin was born at 3:21 pm at 18 inches long and weighing 4 pounds 14 ounces. The nurses cleaned him up and took him to the NICU, where he's
