Let's not beat around the bush: Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth is mediocre and fails on multiple levels. It's unforgivably lazy in everything it does. To even give it a rating of 5 out of 10 is extremely generous because it does absolutely nothing gameplay wise to deserve that. So you know what? I'm not rating the game. Stay a while and listen however. The game itself may be poor, but I feel it deserves a playthru if you get the chance. First things first. This is a completely different game than Hyperdimension Neptunia. It's the same characters, sure. But the plot? The gameplay? The music? Infinitely better than the original. Let that sin
9 months away? I've had my reasons. Let's get down to business here. I've been playing this game... and forcing myself to play this game... for quite a while. Originally I looked upon the game favorably. The first few hours were fun. Then I slowly started to realize what was missing in this game. And then I realized I was getting screwed over. The fun stopped by the second dungeon, but I make it up to the 2nd floor of the 3rd dungeon before just finally putting the game down. I can't call this thing a review. I'm straight up telling you I hate this fucking thing, and I didn't finish it either. But I can at least... explain my viewpoint. See
Valdis Story: Abyssal City was a game I got as a gift from a very awesome friend out of the blue. They requested that I review it for them upon finishing the game. Well... they certainly gave me a hell of a challenge. This WAS a game I wanted to play. People called it a metroidvania game and that it had hard combat against bosses. Art looked good, music sounds great. The only reason I never bought it myself was that I was trying to kill some more Steam games since I can actually play them all now. I was totally going to down the line once I got my steam games down to about 20 or so left. But my friend bought it for me, and now here we are. I
