BornToBeFree_VideoCover_GarethPatterson_Lite.jpg (10014 bytes) BORN TO BE FREE
After George Adamson was tragically murdered by Somalian poachers, while bravely saving the life of a young tourist and his assistant, Gareth Patterson rescued the three lion cubs for which George was caring for in Kenya East Africa. Gareth, who worked with George just before his death, shared a similar passion for the lion, having studied the fragile population still surviving in the remote Tuli bushlands of Botswana. Gareth came to the rescue. He translocated the lion cubs, Batian a male and females Furaha and Rafiki, from Kora to the Tuli bushlands in Southern Africa.
This is a story of the subsequent rehabilitation, the tragedies, the triumphs, and the controversy surrounding the actual translocation of the lions.
The content of the film is extremely interesting. The music is very poorly suited to this film and is distracting and detracts from the film. Still it is a film of interest.
