Synopsis

In 1952, when "Che" Guevara (Gael García Bernal) was a medical student, he traveled through South America with his friend Alberto Granado (Rodrigo de la Serna) on a rickety motorcycle. Ernesto is a 23-year-old medical student specializing in leprosy. Alberto is a 29-year-old biochemist. Both young men embark on a journey of discovery of the rich and complex human and social topography of the Spanish-American continent. The two leave behind the familiar surroundings of Buenos Aires on a rickety 500 cc Norton motorcycle, imbued with a romantic spirit of adventure.
