Credited by Robert Redford as the inspiration for the Sundance Film Institute, director Eagle Pennell’s celebration of the original Austin slackers was lost for over 20 years, with no negative nor prints available. Finally a print was tracked down in Germany, then lovingly restored, including a newly mastered soundtrack.
