Synopsis

Winning, rare light-hearted role for George C. Scott as a scam artist working the back roads down South. He takes on a young army deserter (Sarrazin) as an apprentice. Much to Scott's disappointment, Sarrazin starts to stray toward the straight-and-narrow.
