Synopsis

In 1915, during the First World War, the famous oriental dancer known as Mata-Hari (Carmen de Lirio) makes her presentation in a cabaret in Berlin, but a moment before her performance she escapes, helped by her servant Guillermina (Gracita Morales), with an accountant, a gray man who will make her lead a quiet life, which is what she has dreamed of for a long time. Guillermina takes advantage of the circumstance and impersonates Mata-Hari. On the other hand, Von Faber (José Luis López Vázquez), head of the Kaiser's counter-espionage services, goes to the cabaret to meet Mata-Hari with the intention of taking her to a secret place in France where the Allies are experimenting with a new secret weapon: a tank. Precisely, at the head of the experiment is a Scottish engineer (Antonio Ozores), who along with a Russian officer (José Luis Coll) and several French spies (José Sacristán and Pilar Velázquez), all coincide with different motivations on the night of the debut of the famous dancer.
