Synopsis

Based on the epic poem by Alonso de Ercilla, it tells the story of the conquest of Chile by Pedro de Valdivia. The Araucanian (Mapuche) resistance is led by the young warrior Lautaro (Leftraru), who, against his grandfather's orders, crosses the Great River (Bío Bío) to help the Picunche of the Mapocho Valley. Despite the reproaches of the defenders of tradition, Lautaro decides to learn the arts of the enemy to use them against them. (FILMAFFINITY)
