**CBSE Class 9 Social Science Syllabus 2023-24: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the syllabus for Class 9 Social Science, which can be accessed through their official website. The revision includes four books: History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics. Each book is important, as they cover different topics and have different weightage when it comes to the final exam results.   2. The main objectives of giving project work on Disaster Management include:

  4. Preparation in advance to face adverse situations.
  5. Ensuring participation in disaster mitigation plans.
  6. Enabling them in creation of awareness and preparedness among the community.
  7. Project should help in enhancing the life skills of the students.
  8. If possible various forms of art should be integrated in theproject work.

The distribution of marks over different aspects of related Project Work are as follows:

The Project Work needs to enhance the cognitive, affective as well as psychomotor skills of the learners and it includes self-assessment and peer assessment and also progress of the child in project-based as well as inquiry-based learning which include experiments, models, quizzes, role plays etc. along with teacher assessment (NEP-2020).
