In partnership with the Chicago Graphic Design Club, One Design Company invites folks in the Chicago area to join us in the studio for the second installment of our Confronting Design event series on Thursday, October 17th, from 6–9pm CT. Last year, we gathered to discuss artificial intelligence with a panel of Chicago designer leaders, who shared a diverse range of perspectives on the impact of AI on the field of design. - 50,000feet is proud to announce a partnership with the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden to celebrate its 50th anniversary. 50,000feet is developing a visual brand identity system to mark this milestone and create a unique theme and brand communications for the museum’s annual gala. The gala will take place on November 10 at The Shed (NY). It will mark the beginning of the Hirshhorn’s capital campaign, which aims to revitalize the Sculpture Garden designed by Japanese architect Hiroshi Sugimoto. This will be the museum’s largest Anniversary Gala to date, bringing artists together to celebrate their contributions to society. In collaboration with Philippe, 50,000feet developed the visual identity to help commemorate this lifetime event. Taking place on August 7 and 8 at 8:30 p.m. ET at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, the “Towering!!” event consists of 19 short scenes conceived and directed by Philippe. Philippe will appear multiple times on the high wire walking the width of the cathedral. Musician Sting will perform two of his most beloved songs and the world premiere of “Let the Great World Spin” which was inspired in part by Philippe’s high wire adventure. The show also includes a short film by the director of “Man on Wire,” James Marsh, and several other guest performances.
