- Thrilled to share that Jee Won Park has joined Becca as Chief Client Officer. We first met Jee during her 12-year run at CBS News, where she was a producer for the network’s morning show and developed trailblazing food content like the The James Beard Foundation award-winning series Chef On A Shoestring. Since leaving broadcast news, she’s applied her producer skills to marketing, PR, corporate comms and culinary-event production, working on events like the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, amongst others. An established voice in the industry, Jee was Director of Communication for Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and responsible for all external + internal comms for the restaurant portfolio, as well as managing Danny Meyer's personal media strategy. Prior to joining Becca, she served as Executive Vice President at Magrino Public Relations, working with brands in wine, restaurants, hospitality and consumer. Jee now brings her vast experience to our growing team and we’re pumped for all that the future holds. We helped gather friends of chef Marcus Samuelsson for a special evening commemorating his new collection with West Elm last week. Hosted at Samuelsson’s iconic Red Rooster, guests including supermodel Alek Wek, The View co-host Sunny Hostin, TV & radio personality Bevy Smith, actor/comedian Kalen Allen, artist Derrick Adams, toasted the chef’s first foray into home design over a menu of cornbread with peach jam, BBQ short rib with oxtail fried rice, miso grilled mushrooms and grilled strawberry cobbler, while live music from The Soapbox Presents and DJ Wemi kept the party vibes going. Ranging from furniture, lighting and tableware to textiles and art, the 32-piece Marcus Samuelsson + West Elm capsule nods to different facets of Samuelsson’s background. Energetic textiles recall Ethiopian craft traditions, clean and minimal woodwork harks back to Scandinavian design. Bright colors and brass finishes evoke the rich culture of Samuelsson’s longtime home of Harlem.
