The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strengthened its transformational commitment to Children's National Hospital with a new $35 million donation. The investment will advance life-changing breakthroughs in research and care, including for our prenatal, neonatal and maternal health initiatives. We’re incredibly thankful for the UAE’s continued support as part of our 30-year partnership to transform pediatric health. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eP-E4xrS UAE Embassy - Washington, DC - His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, visited Children’s National to learn more about our pioneering work in pediatric surgery and healthcare. He also met Emirati patients receiving care at our hospital. We’re grateful to the UAE for its longtime support of Children’s National and its continuous commitment to enhancing the care provided to our patients and families.

Last summer, 11-year-old Landon presented with persistent hip pain initially attributed to "growing pains." However, an MRI revealed abnormal cells and bone lesions, leading to a diagnosis of stage 4 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. After starting treatment at Children’s National, Landon and his family faced this difficult journey with hope and determination. Five months and six rounds of chemotherapy later, Landon proudly rang the bell in May. Now, as he begins 7th grade, Landon is back to playing soccer and embracing life. We’re amazed by the bravery of the patients and families we serve, and grateful for all our team members providing the highest quality care available in the fight against childhood cancer.
