The City's investment ensures our firefighters have the proper equipment to safely combat fires and protect our community. 2️⃣ Exciting news for sports enthusiasts! Mission Hills Park and Arroyo Grande Sports Complex are getting a major upgrade. Existing sports lighting will be replaced with energy-efficient LED systems, that will provide improved visibility and a better playing experience for our athletes.

Under Richard's exceptional leadership, Henderson has experienced remarkable growth and achieved unprecedented success. Enhanced Public Safety: Richard strengthened our commitment to public safety, overseeing the opening of new fire and police stations, a state-of-the-art forensics lab, and the addition of over 160 public safety personnel. A Thriving Sports City: Henderson has become a true sports destination thanks to Richard's vision. Public-private partnerships brought professional sports teams like the Henderson Silver Knights, Vegas Knight Hawks, and Vegas Thrill to our city, along with the Raiders Practice Facility and two state-of-the-art indoor fieldhouses. A Vibrant Community: Richard spearheaded the revitalization of Water Street, transforming it into a thriving hub of locally owned restaurants, breweries, and shops. The addition of the America First Center further enhanced the area's appeal. A City of Excellence: Henderson's commitment to excellence has been recognized nationally, culminating in the prestigious 2024 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award—a testament to Richard's leadership and the dedication of our entire city team.
