⚡️ Recently, NV Energy and IBEW local 1245 hosted a Skills Showcase, opening up our Reno training facility to the public to demonstrate the variety of apprenticeships, training programs, and careers in the trades available at #NVEnergy. Work is underway on NV Energy’s Sierra Solar project! Sierra Solar is a 400-megawatt solar and four-hour 400-megawatt battery energy storage system, located 30 miles from the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. The expected completion dates are July 2026 for the battery energy storage system and April 2027 for the solar. #ThisIsWhatWeDo
United Way of Southern Nevada’s Project REACH Senior Expos were a great success this year! Thanks to the work of many teams, including the over 60 NV Energy employees who volunteered at the expo events, and our amazing partnership with #UWSN, we were able to help 1,748 senior households on limited income stretch their household budget! In addition, the NV Energy Foundation is proud to support Project REACH as a financial contributor. Delivering customer service excellence — #ThisIsWhatWeDoProject REACH funding is available to adults 62+ in southern Nevada who meet the income eligibility guidelines. NV Energy and FKP Global Services’ 2nd Annual Trunk-or-Treat was a spooktacular success over the weekend! 👻 Attendees enjoyed hot cocoa, treats, and went trunk or treating around the 1 Ohm parking lot collecting candy and prizes from volunteers. 🎃 Wishing everyone a fun and safe Halloween!

The Hoover Dam began generating power on March 16, 1937, and became the area's major power supplier for the next two decades?!
