Meet our colleague Sheila Dahlman, an ultrasound sonographer who leads a team of nine compassionate colleagues at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, Minnesota. Sheila's favorite part of her mission is being the positive difference in someone's care experience, and treating her patients with dignity and respect.
Essentia Health's mission to make a healthy difference in people's lives is always happening in new and exciting ways! Essentia-Moose Lake and Moose Lake chapter of the Essentia Health Foundation recently partnered to be the premiere sponsor of a new fitness option now available in Moose Lake Township, Minnesota. Congratulations to our colleagues who recently took 1st Place for "Best Dressed" at the 20th Annual Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization (HERO) Bash in Fargo, North Dakota! Their support (and amazing costumes) helped HERO meet their fundraising goal of $80,000 to support their mission of providing access to affordable health care equipment & supplies both locally and globally, while also helping recycle thousands of pounds of reusable medical supplies every year. #TogetherWeThriveCommunity Engagement: https://ow.ly/ANqK50SEGNq
Meet our colleague Sara Beattie, a registered nurse in the obstetrics and gynecology department at Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic 1st Street (Building A), who specializes in everything from performing procedures with providers, to cervical cancer screening and education. Sara says the biggest goal she has for patients is reducing their anxiety during a potentially stressful time, adding that she's honored to work alongside a team of compassionate caregivers.
“I think our ability to work [with Medica] with the focus on keeping [patients] healthy and addressing their health care needs when they need them really advances their care,” explains Essentia Health CEO David C. Herman, MD.
