About us
The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) is a not-for-profit trade organization composed of 23 Member Cruise Lines operating more than 200 vessels in Floridian, Caribbean and Latin American waters. Created in 1972, the FCCA’s mandate is to provide a forum for discussion on tourism development, ports, tour operations, safety, security and other cruise industry issues. By fostering an understanding of the cruise industry and its operating practices, the FCCA seeks to build cooperative relationships with its partner destinations and to develop productive bilateral partnerships with every sector. The FCCA works with governments, ports and all private/public sector representatives to maximize cruise passenger, cruise line and cruise line employee spending, as well as enhancing the destination experience and the amount of cruise passengers returning as stay-over visitors. The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism achieved historic success in 2024. Our destination reached unprecedented heights, with airline arrivals surpassing 932,000 passengers — a 16.5% increase from 2023. December 28, 2024, marked a historic milestone for our territory, with 4,606 passenger arrivals in a single day, contributing to a record-breaking week of over 24,000 visitors. Our cruise tourism also thrived, welcoming 1.7 million passengers throughout the year. This success stems from our strategic approach to expanding airline partnerships with operators like JetBlue and Frontier Airlines, and visits from new cruise ships, including Royal Caribbean Group's Icon of the Seas and Disney Cruise Line's Treasure. Our efforts were recognized with several accolades, including Porthole Magazine's Best Caribbean Cruise Destination and the distinction of having Trunk Bay, St. John, named the World's Best Beach.#USVITourism is committed to delivering excellence and innovation in our industry. Looking ahead to 2025, we're focused on continuing to implement creative marketing strategies and partnerships that ensure the USVI remains a premier Caribbean destination for both new and returning travelers. I extend my gratitude to our tourism partners and dedicated team who make these accomplishments possible.https://lnkd.in/e65hn5-2
