Earth Day Initiatives Recap 🌍🌱 This Earth Day, our properties showcased their commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. Here’s a look at the diverse and impactful activities across some of our communities: Parc View Arlington Apartments: Celebrated with a fruit basket giveaway, delighting two lucky residents. The Avondale at Laurel: Emphasized eco-friendliness by distributing stylish reusable bags with succulents. Haven Largo Apartments: Fostered community spirit with refreshments and engaging Earth Day activities. Woods at Addison and Holly Spring Meadows: Launched an Earth Day Scavenger Hunt and are preparing for another exciting event this Friday. Jefferson Chase Apartments: Enhanced living spaces with the simple beauty of succulents. Margate Manor: Promoted gardening by providing residents with pots, seeds, and soil. Coverstone IV: Celebrated with earth shaped balloons, food, and handed out “Protect The Earth” buttons, bracelets, and bubbles.Then they invited the community to help plant flowers by the pool. Hermitage Square: Collaborated with the Montgomery County recycling representative to educate on recycling practices, distributing recycling bins to enhance sustainability efforts. Mill Creek: Encouraged planting with seeds and pots, and added floral beauty to the pool house area. Washington Square: Merged a breakfast gathering with eco-friendly planting activities. The Benjamin at Landover Hills: Introduced a creative twist with a rock painting activity. Park Pleasant: Lifted spirits with a festive party and gifted flowers, adding a splash of color to residents’ homes. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for their enthusiasm and participation in making this Earth Day a significant and joyous occasion. Yesterday marked a significant milestone as we conducted our first HVAC "Hands-On" training session. The enthusiasm and engagement from the attendees were truly inspiring! Our comprehensive workshop covered: - Split systems - HVAC management - Electrical troubleshooting - Basic compliance - Logging practices - Motor schematics - Thermostat wire coding - Brazing in compressors and copper pipes The participants were incredibly engaged, asking insightful questions and eagerly getting hands-on with real equipment. It was rewarding to see those "light bulb" moments as everything clicked into place.
