This Wednesday I had the honor to take a tour around affordable housing units in the Atlanta Georgia area. Here we were able to learn more about the process of aquiring, planning and building such sites. Project Destined and Housing Partnership Network partnering with Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership provided an amazing opportunity for hands on experience into the insight of the affordable housing sector. Learning how ANDP started and how they still continue to work was special and an opportunity I’m so grateful to have experienced. As always, I want to give a special thanks to Cedric Bobo for making all of this possible. Without his work I wouldn’t have gotten this experience. Another thanks to Kaitlin Novak for her work as our student lead during the tour! - Housing Partnership Network reposted this

“Community Development Climate Finance!” 🏘️🌎💵 At #OFN40, CEO Harold Pettigrew, Jr. charted our journey ahead to combine community development finance and climate finance, creating this new industry. Made for this Moment, indeed! Energized if not refreshed (✈️ lag is real), from Harold’s opening keynote to the Zoom mtg on insurance and climate finance as I boarded at LAX 4 days later, my first OFN Conference was a whirlwind charged by commitment from passionate crafters of capital solutions, built to empower communities and sustainable transformation. ✅ ⚒️Workshopping climate lending strategies with HPN member CDFIs and our rockstar TA teams ✅ 🐟 Michelin ⭐️ ceviché and deep convos on climate resilience at a food hall in SouthLA developed by collaborators ✅🏙️ Rooftop reflections with fellow building decarb nerds and green bankers ✅ 🙌🏻 HPN <> SURE <> IPC team IRL time ✅⛵️Wayfinding into unchartered waters with brilliant minds from EPA, OFN, LISC, CPC, Philanthropic partners, member leaders, and so many others ✅💚 Even squeezed in a good long walk with an old friend and dinner with my sister who came up from SD just to hang 💚 🙏🏻Grateful for the opportunity to do this work alongside y’all. I’m honored and humbled that Opportunity Finance Network has recognized CPC with their inaugural Outstanding CDFI Award! A lot has changed since CPC was founded in1974. Our housing problems are different, our neighborhoods are different, and the ways we seek to solve those problems have evolved. One thing that hasn’t changed is CPC’s mission, and our ability to meet the moment. Being recognized by an organization like OFN and our CDFI peers is an honor, not because we like to collect awards, but because it represents our five decades of work and impact. It’s 50 years of CPC employees coming to work every day to make a difference in our communities, and in the lives of the people who live there. Thank you to our team and thank you to OFN.
CPC is honored to be named Outstanding CDFI by Opportunity Finance Network! Our commitment to the long-term stability and affordability of the communities in which we lend and invest has never been stronger, and we’re grateful to OFN for the recognition. CPC is proud to accept this award in our 50th year, a testament to the work and impact we have made with our peers, partners, and friends since 1974. Onwards! #AffordableHousing #EquitableHousing #EnergyEfficientHousing #CDFI #OFN40 - Housing Partnership Network reposted this
