We are pleased to announce a significant milestone today. Infleqtion UK has achieved a world-first flight demonstration of two core #quantum technologies— our optical atomic clock, #Tiqker, and ultracold quantum matter—that have the potential to revolutionize Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT). We want to thank our partners BAE Systems, QinetiQ, FRAUNHOFER UK RESEARCH LIMITED, ALTER TECHNOLOGY TUV NORD UK LTD, Caledonian Photonics Ltd, RedWave Labs Ltd, PA Consulting, and the UK government for their support.
Satellite navigation systems aboard aircrafts have seen an increase in hacking in recent months ✈️ Highly resilient quantum navigation technology could be key to ensuring flights are able to takeoff without disruption. Infleqtion UK, who have received government and UK Research and Innovation support of nearly £8m led the project, alongside BAE Systems Air and QinetiQ, and partners from across the UK. The success of the tests will help fulfil the UK’s commitment of making the country a quantum-enabled economy. See the first UK trials take place on an in flight aircraft 👇

This morning, a friend forwarded me a note on the critical need for fieldable quantum GPS technology (https://lnkd.in/grp6EST4) and I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, our team at #Infleqtion has been heads-down demonstrating our tech in the field and I missed the article the first time around...mea culpa. Just this last week, our team made the 1000 mile round trip to the deserts of the US southwest with our next generation #Tiqker clock to demonstrate a core quantum GPS capability in front of scientific and defense government customers. What's amazing is our clock dependably ticked (or is it tiqked?) the entire way there and back, demonstrating the critical heartbeat for future telecommunications, data synchronization and navigation systems worldwide! This is on the back of our UK flight demonstration of the key systems needed for a full quantum GPS solution in May (https://lnkd.in/gRRgDe7V).
