QuEra Computing is the leader in quantum computers based on neutral atoms. Use our 256-qubit machine on AWS Braket.
About us
Located in Boston, QuEra Computing is a maker of advanced neutral-atoms based quantum computers, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the industry. Founded in 2018, the company is built on pioneering research recently conducted nearby at both Harvard University and MIT. QuEra is building the industry’s most scalable quantum computers to tackle useful but classically intractable problems for commercially relevant applications. Our signature 256-qubit machine, Aquila, the largest publicly-accessible machine in the world, is available now for general use over the Amazon Braket cloud. - We're still buzzing from a wonderfully intense two days of sharing and learning at the QuEra Quantum Alliance. We've heard over 20 presentations from alliance partners, from customers that chose to partner with QuEra, analysts, government officials, and of course, QuEra scientists. Stay tuned for joint partner events that feature the power of this neutral-atom alliance.
- In a recent contribution to Forbes, our Chief Commercial Officer penned an article that discusses the opportunities, concerns, and impact of quantum computing, summarizing results from our recent survey. The survey reveals significant optimism about quantum's potential but also highlights pressing concerns about its risks and challenges. The article also explores how people think about the importance of acquiring quantum computers from a "friendly trade partner" and the need for international collaboration to address the ethical and security challenges of quantum technology.https://hubs.ly/Q02QQKPp0
Council Post: Quantum Computing: Opportunities, Concerns And Impact social-www.forbes.com - Members of the QuEra Quantum Alliance had a treat today: an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of several quantum computers (both analog and gate-model) built at QuEra. Our 256-qubit Aquila is online 130 hours a week on Amazon Braket, but our visitors came outside the availability window so they were able to see inside the machine and understand where the magic happens.

Aquila’s capacity to do machine learning has just been expanding! Following up on QuEra’s results in reservoir computing, a new set of authors, now from Rice University, have demonstrated the ability to perform generative adversarial networks with Aquila. The new proposed and demonstrated protocol, ReCon, demonstrates performance on inference tasks 33% better than previous alternatives with superconducting devices. The capacity to leverage the exponential scaling of the Hilbert space to encode more features is called as one of the strengths of the protocol. Read here on arXiv! https://hubs.ly/Q02PDtzc0 - Tomorrow, we welcome a select group of industry leaders, all members of the QuEra Quantum Alliance, for two days of sharing best practices, learning about the latest developments in neutral-atom computing, and hearing from customers and guests. We can't wait! Learn more about the QuEra Quantum Alliance at https://hubs.ly/Q02QGf2W0
- The ability to shuttle qubits while maintaining their quantum state is a key differentiator in favor of neutral-atom technology. Such shuttling allows for more efficient algorithm implementation, a wider selection of quantum error correction codes, and also contributes to the scalability advantages. Here is an example of how this looks in real life.
- CERN's Large Hadron Collider: researchers have observed quantum entanglement of quarks for the first time! This milestone, highlighted in a new Nature study, confirms entanglement between a top quark and its antimatter counterpart, pushing the envelope in particle physics. Traditionally, quantum entanglement — a phenomenon where particles become interconnected and share information instantly, regardless of distance — has been observed in various systems, but this marks the highest energy observation yet, utilizing data from both the ATLAS and CMS collaborations.
