- Great story in The Oklahoman today about the important work our #Oklahoma affiliate is doing to foster #interfaith relationships among Oklahomans! ----- "Saurabh Singh, The Interfaith Alliance Foundation of Oklahoma president, said the organization is a nonpartisan 'family' devoted to diversity. The organization focuses on human rights issues, fostering interfaith friendships, and interfaith cooperation through community service. 'Amazing Faiths,' he said, is a way to bring people together for conversations about faith in a safe environment. Along the way, attendees share a meal together and learn more about local issues of concern such as hunger, homelessness and domestic violence." - “Today’s ruling is a victory for the Constitution and for true religious freedom – which requires ensuring that no one religious group is allowed to impose their viewpoint on all Americans. Louisiana’s Ten Commandments law is blatant religious coercion that should have absolutely no place in public schools. Placing the Ten Commandments in schools is a de facto establishment of a religion and a direct attack on the intent of the founders of our country. The ruling is also a victory for families of students of all faiths and beliefs who believe that they, not the government, should control the religious formation of their children. As a pastor, a parent, and an American I applaud this ruling.” -Rev. Paul Brandeis Raushenbush

"Shara Smith, CEO of Interfaith Alliance of Colorado, said the amendment’s passage is 'a victory for faith communities across Colorado' because it ensures someone’s 'own faith and conscience' guide their decisions when seeking reproductive health care, not the government or someone else’s faith. In addition to the alliance, 10 faith organizations endorsed the measure. 'As an interfaith public policy and advocacy organization with over 400 faith families in our statewide network, representing over two dozen faith traditions, we know that the faith community is not monolithic when it comes to reproductive health care,' Smith said. 'Amendment 79 ensures that no one faith or faction within one faith is determining the rights for everyone else.'”
Colorado abortion advocates say constitutional amendment provides highest protection possible • Colorado Newsline https://coloradonewsline.com - “To defeat Project 2025’s implementation, we must grow and marshal more resources to equip more mainstream religious voices against Christian nationalism. There is a mass movement of Americans who will never give up the struggle for a more just, kind, equitable and free country – and Interfaith Alliance will always work proudly to help mobilize it. We are in it for the long term, and in the end, I know we can and will succeed. Over the course of our thirty year history, our members have championed inclusion, compassion, building bridges between diverse faith communities, and upholding true religious freedom. We were founded to help counter the Christian Coalition in 1994. We fought for true religious freedom during the first Trump administration, and we’re prepared to continue the fight in the second Trump administration. Together, we will access the spiritual power of resilience and hope that runs through all our faith traditions, and join with all people of good will to meet this extraordinarily challenging moment in our nation’s history.” -Reverend Paul Brandeis Raushenbush, President and CEO of Interfaith Alliance
