The Nonprofit Leadership Center develops and connects nonprofit leaders to strengthen organizations and our communities. As a nonprofit that exists to support other nonprofits, we offer personal and professional learning opportunities in leadership development, board governance, financial management, fundraising and communications/marketing for nonprofit leaders at every level, from seasoned CEOs to those new in their careers. Through more than 90 classes, a dozen certificate programs, small group leadership circles, custom training, and the sector's premier annual nonprofit leadership conference, we're working together to enhance our nonprofit sector and the lives of every individual and family we collectively serve. We can’t think of a better way to spend a Tuesday morning than with dozens of nonprofit leaders and our friends at Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg talking about strengthening nonprofit boards. Our CEO Charles D. Imbergamo, CFRE, led an engaging session on how to recruit and develop board members who will guide our organizations to success. You often hear us say learners are leaders, but is that really true? New research from the first 15 years of graduates from The University of Tampa's Certificate in Nonprofit Management shows that the program increases participants’ knowledge, confidence, professional relationships and career advancement while also contributing to nonprofit effectiveness. Designed and delivered in partnership with the Conn Memorial Foundation Inc. and our team here at the Nonprofit Leadership Center, this program provides emerging nonprofit executives with a graduate-level education to lead our communities forward. And it's working! This latest data is the first impact report of its kind to assess the program.
